Little Thicket Park Bank Stabilization Project

Little Thicket Park sits on 10 acres tucked between TC Jester Boulevard and Ella Boulevard along the east bank of Little Thicket Bayou. A section of the bayou bank has failed and threatens the stability of a section of the Park. The Memorial Heights Redevelopment Zone/TIRZ 5and Houston Parks and Recreation Department are working together to restore the section of failed bank with terraced gabions and native plantings. Fencing will be installed along the top of the bank to provide an added layer of protection to the patrons of the park. After the bank stabilization project is complete the Houston Parks and Recreation Department will begin preparation of a Master Plan for Little Thicket Park.
