About

We are here to construct public facilities and infrastructure, benefitting and revitalizing the City and the communities within and around the Zone boundaries, and to improve the quality of life for the residents of Houston!

Shepherd Durham Project

We officially launched The Shepherd Durham Project on December 4, 2021 as the year came to an end. With construction set to begin in the spring of 2022, the project will increase public safety and accessibility on Shepherd and Durham between I-610 N (North Loop) and I-10 (Katy Freeway). We expect that smartly designed infrastructure will make for a better commute and a safer roadway.

Street Closure This Week

Starting Monday (3/25/2024), the westbound direction of 20th St. will be closed at Shepherd Dr.

Traffic traveling westbound on 20th St. coming from the Heights/Yale area will be directed to turn at Lawrence St. and go north to 21st St. or south to 19th St. to access Shepherd Dr. and points further west. Construction crews will be re-building the intersection of Shepherd Dr. @ 20th St., and work is expected to be completed by Thursday (3/28/2024), weather permitting.

The closure will not affect northbound traffic on Shepherd and eastbound traffic on 20th St. and traffic turning west onto 20th St. from Shepherd Dr. will also be unaffected.
