This week, the cross-streets at 25th and Shepherd Dr. are undergoing construction. Over the next few weeks, new storm sewers and pavement will be installed at 25th, 26th, and 27th streets, causing street closures.
At no point will Shepherd Dr. be closed completely; however, at any given time, one of the cross streets will be closed. To ensure traffic continues to flow, work will not start on the next cross street until the previous one is re-opened. This work is expected to take approximately 3-4 weeks to complete, but is subject to change due to weather conditions.
During the closures, the cross streets will be closed on the east side of Shepherd Dr.
- Drivers on Shepherd will not be able to turn left onto the streets but will be able to turn right.
- Westbound traffic on each street will be forced to turn onto Shepherd Dr.
- Eastbound traffic from Durham will be limited to local traffic only.
- Those wishing to cross Shepherd and continue east will need to use an alternate cross street.
