Thank you to everyone who shared input during the first round of engagement for the Greater Heights Strategic Connections Plan. Your feedback shaped a community-led Vision for Mobility and Five Goals to make streets and trails in the area safer and better connected. Find the Vision and Goals here.
Here are some key highlights from the 1st round of engagement:
- Around 80% of respondents said that they believe the Greater Heights is accessible by car, but only 19% believe it’s accessible without one.
- Safety was named as the top mobility priority, with concerns about speeding and unsafe crossings as common themes from community comments.
- While 95% of residents walk or bike for recreation, less than half can easily access a trial or greenway.
- Two-thirds of children regularly walk to get around the Greater Heights, but only 39 percent walk to school.
What’s next? Round 2!
We are in Round 2 of engagement, and we need your help to pinpoint specific streets, trails, and intersections where improvements are most needed to meet the plan goals.
